Vallentine Mitchell, founded around fifty years ago, is a publisher of books in the fields of Jewish, Middle Eastern and Holocaust studies. We publish for both the scholar and the general reader and have offices in London and Portland, Oregon.
Subjects covered include Jewish history, culture and heritage, Jewish thought, Middle Eastern history, politics and culture and the Holocaust.
The Library of Holocaust Testimonies, under the distinguished editorship of Sir Martin Gilbert, Ben Helfgott and David Cesarani has published almost sixty personal testimonies from Holocaust survivors. This part of our publishing programme has now drawn to a close, and we no longer accept submissions to publish Holocaust testimonies (although we will continue to publish new works on the Holocaust.)
Vallentine Mitchell welcomes the opportunity to consider new works. Proposals may be sent to editor@vmbooks.com.
